Agency Self-Assessment Documents

To view a copy of our Self-Assessment regarding the 2014 CAPRA Standards, reviewers are welcome to use one of the buttons below, or may also look at the material and evidence using the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

Please Note: The Park District of Oak Park is currently participating in a pilot program between the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) which oversees a national accreditation program and the Distinguished Park & Recreation Accreditation Committee (DPRAC) which oversees a statewide accreditation program for Illinois park and recreation agencies.  Because many standards from both programs overlap, both groups are currently working together to ensure that park and recreation agencies in Illinois which would like to complete both do not need to duplicate efforts.  Because the Park District of Oak Park was accredited by DPRAC in the fall of 2013, the organization is able to use the results to satisfy the requirements of similar non-fundamental CAPRA standards. This has been noted on the affected standards by listing the DPRAC standard number as the "evidence" for the accompanying CAPRA standard.  CAPRA visitors & reviewers have been given the results from the DPRAC accreditation review in order to verify this.
